Grow Old Beautifully – Know Your Anti-Aging Skin Care Facts
According to research, as many as one in three women over the age of 30 uses an anti aging skin care product. It seems wrinkles are high up on our list of cosmetic concerns and, as a result, we spend millions of dollars yearly on anti-aging products, and cosmetic procedures such as Botox and face lifts are becoming increasingly popular.
The above comes as no surprise as it’s hard not to notice our wrinkles and fine lines when we are constantly bombarded with airbrushed models at our every turn. However, before we can take control of our age spots and eliminate our fine lines and wrinkles, we need to recognize what is good and what is bad for aging skin.
One of the first things that you need to keep in mind is that no matter what you do your skin will age, you will develop lines and wrinkles, etc. The important thing to remember, however, is a healthy lifestyles program will determine how your skin ages. Not everyone’s skin ages the same but what are the factors that affect it?
Genetics play some part in the overall aging process, we inherit to a certain extent the way in which our skin looks as well as any problems that we may suffer from. However, a healthy lifestyles program have an even greater impact. Sunlight and smoking, as well as an unhealthy diet and all of the hazardous things that we expose ourselves to, can be very harmful and damaging to the overall look and feel of our skin as well as how it ages.
Out of everything that we expose ourselves to, the sun is one of the most damaging. It can prematurely age our skin without the right protection. The sun’s UV rays can block our skin care defenses, the only way anti-aging skin care can be provided is through total sun avoidance or with the use of SPF sunscreens.
In order for our skin to age well, we need to treat it with respect while we are still young. Eating plenty of fruit and vegetables as part of a healthy and balanced diet can help take the years off as can regular exercise and cutting smoking and drinking out of your lifestyle. Making small changes such as these can really help you down the line.
As well as leading a decent lifestyle and generally looking after your skin by regularly moisturizing, you can also help aging skin through the use of an anti aging skin care product. There are a lot of them on the market at the moment and, by using the right one for your skin type, you could see fine lines disappear and the appearance of wrinkles could be dramatically reduced.
A lot of people are cynical when it comes to anti-aging cream lotions and products and a decade ago they were labeled by a lot of people as being nothing more than fiction. Scientists today, however, know a lot more about the aging process and this means we have some of the most effective anti-aging cream lotions and products available.
An anti aging skin care product will do a lot for your skin but, to get the most out of them, I highly recommend that you combine the use of them with a healthy lifestyle. Not only will you be doing your skin some good, you will also be doing your general health a world of good!
