Menopause Made Easier Using Diet and Nutrition
Menopause symptoms can be managed through proper diet and exercise. Learn what changes our guest blogger, Debbie Johnson, recommends making to your diet to help reduce hot flashes, night sweats, and other uncomfortable menopause symptoms.
The Menopause Diet
To help menopausal symptoms, especially hot flashes:
1. Cut out gluten.
2. Cut out sugar, except for some fruit
3. Avoiding night shade vegetables: potatoes, tomatoes, all peppers, eggplant
4. Adding more healthy oils, plus more nuts and seeds for extra oils
5. Getting more protein with supplemental isolated whey powder, unsweetened, of course, and Total Amino Solution (pre-digested protein caps).
I still feel totally satisfied with delicious recipes I’ve developed that are healthy, gluten-free, and low-glycemic.
