Cameron Diaz’ trainer, Teddy Bass, reveals her beauty secret to a tight
tummy. It’s a yoga position called the “Plank” that works your abs, arms, back, and hips!
- Start on your hands and knees. Straighten legs, moving into a push-up position with feet about hip-width apart and hands directly below your shoulders. (Aim for a straight line between neck and ankles.) Hold for 10 seconds. Return to hands and knees, repeat 10 times. Note: If holding the plank with straight arms is too challenging to start, bend your elbows and place your forearms flat on the floor with palms facing each other – you can clasp your hands or just make fists, whichever is easier.
- To progress, aim to hold the position for longer intervals, working up to 1 minute or longer. You can also change it up by lifting one leg to hip level, then lowering and repeating with the other leg. Do the move 3 times a week along with a regular cardio routine and you should see a smaller waist in 3-4 weeks.
