The onset of Crow’s Feet is no Laughing Matter! No pun intended. Growing up with my mom was often trying, especially at the age of 16 when all of the shop clerks assumed that my 40 year old mother was my friend and not my mother. They all wanted to know what her beauty secrets were. “Good genetics,” she would tell them. This was true, she did come from a very young looking family, however, she also had her little beauty tricks as well. For Crows Feet, she always said “it’s the simple things.”

Avoid Sun Exposure!  My mother’s #1 Beauty Tip? Make sure you always have your hat and / or sunglasses on when working or playing in the sun. This helps you to avoid squinting!

Never Quit Quitting!  One of the most avoided beauty secrets, smoking can actually contribute to Crow’s Feet. Not that you needed another reason to quit, but smoking most definitely can have an effect on your looks.

Keep Your Head Up!  This is my favorite piece of beauty advice. When you sleep with your face upturned and away from your pillow you allow the skin around your eyes to relax. Sleeping face down or on the side can actually cause you to squint in your sleep.

Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize!  A universal beauty tip, over-the-counter creams are available for many skin issues including ones designed to reduce puffiness and fine lines.

Eat Your Antioxidants!  Another beauty secret for your arsenal, try adding berries high in antioxidants into your diet for better skin. (cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries).

Now we all hope that the beauty tips, secrets, and advice out there are a sure fire way to combat our problems, however, sometimes they just aren’t enough. If you feel it is necessary, you can always visit a professional for an evaluation and plan of action.
