As we get older we look back on our teen years with amusement and thanks that puberty is just temporary. However, as we age we are faced with the realization that our hormones are not done changing and with this change oftentimes come the return of pimples and blemishes. They creep up on us slowly and force us to adjust our beauty skin care routine accordingly. Do you remember the skin tips we were taught as teenagers? Here are those wonderful skin care tips that helped us oh so long ago.

Tip #1:  Keep your face clean! Remember that the start of any effective skin care regime starts with keeping your face clean. However, don’t over scrub it! The irritation from over scrubbing can actually cause breakouts.

Tip #2:  Wash your face regularly! At least twice a day wash your face gently with antibacterial or mild soap.

Tip #3:  Avoid harsh products! One of the hardest skin care tips to adhere to, washing your face with common body soap and using fragrances can be very harmful as they may aggravate pimples. http://budurl.com/l32x

Tip #4:  Keep it clean! This tip is good for your health as well. At least one time weekly make sure to wash your pillowcase, washcloths, towels, make-up brushes and make up applicators.

Tip #5:  Proper hair care! Dirty or over processed hair can have adverse effects on your skin as it rests on you face and keeps in constant contact with your skin. Keep your hair clean and out of your face as much as possible!

Tip #6: Chin up! An odd but key skin care tip, make sure to keep your phone mouthpiece and writing instruments clean and free of facial oils; and at all times away from your chin.

Tip #7:  No heavy make up! Make up products are often high in perfumes and other ingredients that can irritate your skin. Avoid wearing heavy make-up and always wash your make up off before going to bed.

Tip #8:  Wash your hands! A health care tip and a skin care tip frequently and consistently wash your hands and avoid touching your face during the daytime hours.

While it may be tempting to seek more drastic measures as we get older, the basic and root cause of pimples and blemishes is clogged pores. And the best beauty skin care advice for clogged pores will always be to keep things clean and avoid harsh products.
