An olive oil and sugar scrub is a great DIY foot care recipe.
Olive Oil & Sugar Scrub
1/4 C. sugar
1/4 olive oil.
While in shower scoop 1/2 of the mixture in your hands and rub vigorously all over feet and toes. Don’t forget between your toes. Rub into toenails as well for a lovely shine.
Rinse, rinse, rinse and then dry. Your tootsies are now ready for summer sandals!
Olive oil will hydrate and soften dry feet and may also protect your skin against sun damage and cancer. Sugar sloughs off the old dry skin cells and allows the oil to penetrate and repair the skin underneath. Glycolic Acid, also found in common table sugar, acts as an additional chemical exfoliant.
