Eye Care Tip – How to Apply Eye Cream
How To Apply Eye Cream
It may seem as simple as dabbing on a little cream, but choosing the right formula and applying it correctly can make a difference in the results.
- Fine lines and wrinkles can appear as early as your 20s, so to protect skin, use an eye cream with antioxidants during the day. At night, use an anti aging skin cream with ingredients such as retinol or peptides.
- Look for an eye cream in an aluminum tube or an opaque pump bottle – especially for creams that contain retinol or vitamin C. These packages protect these ingredients from exposure to oxygen and sunlight (which can make them less effective). Generally, eye creams that come in jars tend to be richer than those in bottles or tubes.
- Place a pea-size dab of eye cream on your ring finger, which has the lightest touch and is least likely to pull the skin. Starting at the inner corner, dab the cream from just below your lashes to your orbital bone. Continue outward until you reach your crow’s feet.
- Resist the temptation to gob on your eye cream at night. Too much can lead to itchy, puffy eyes the following morning.
In summary, the next time you start to apply eye cream, remember the tips above.
