The Celebrity Master Cleanse
When it comes to lifestyle choices, members of the public like to take their lead from world-famous celebrities. Diet and nutrition is no exception to the rule. For example, the American songstress Beyonce Knowles has attracted a great deal of publicity concerning her very own take on the lemonade diet, which goes by the name of the Beyonce diet. The singer says the lemon diet helped her lose twenty pounds when she needed to slim down for a movie role in the hit film, ‘Dreamgirls’.
Appearing on the Oprah TV show back in 2006, Beyonce spilled the beans on how she shed pounds using the Master Cleanse lemonade diet. It was a vital move for Beyonce, because playing the role of the teenaged Deena Jones in “Dreamgirls” required the singer, aged 25 at the time, to shed a great deal of weight in a matter of weeks.
Contrary to some popular belief, Beyonce did not originate the master cleanse diet –- Stanley Burroughs created it back in 1941. Since then it has been performed by thousands of people across the world.
Beyonce Knowles is not the only class-A celebrity to make use of the famous lemonade diet (or the “Master Cleanse”, as it is sometimes called). Some of the celebrity heavy hitters who have utilized the lemonade diet with massive success include: Jared Leto, Robin Quivers, Demi Moore, Anna Friel, and Jake Owens.
In Beyonce’s case, the songbird asked her personal nutritionist for some advice on how she should go about shedding pounds. The situation was complicated by the fact that there was not much time available, but Beyonce was determined to use a healthy diet program in achieving her weight loss goals. After some thought, Beyoncé’s nutritionist told the singer she should opt for the lemonade diet.
Not only is dieting lemonade style healthy, fast and effective according to many health gurus, but it is simple and inexpensive, too. The lemon cleanse diet only requires that you drink around six to a dozen large glasses of lemonade per day. It’s concocted with pure water, fresh lemon juice, plus cayenne pepper and organic Grade B Maple syrup.
This lemonade Master Cleanse diet is very useful, indeed, not only as a means of losing weight, but also as a health booster / detoxification regimen. The nutritionist that founded the lemon diet claims the liver, kidneys, skin, colon, and even the body’s trillions of cells get cleansed thoroughly during the detox diet program. It’s been around for over 70 years. Let’s see whether the master cleanse can withstand a full century.
