It’s hard to believe that a year ago today, the newly minted Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were walking the Buckingham Palace grounds hand in hand (she in that cute blue Zara dress and L.K. Bennett wedges).

But 367 days have flown by — and Kate’s managed to make each of them memorable thanks to her sleek style. Though we would include pretty much everything she’s worn recently in our list of favorite looks, here are four highlights (from left):

Alexander McQueen, July 9. Kate wore this dazzling lilac number to the BAFTA Brits to Watch gala in Los Angeles, pretty much outdoing every Hollywood star that showed up at the event.

Jenny Packham, June 9. For her first “glamour date” as a Duchess, Kate selected this dazzling number by the British designer, turning heads and making a serious style statement.

Erdem Moralioglu, June 30. Kate styled herself smartly for her first event on Canadian soil, choosing a stunning lace dress by a Canadian-born designer and pairing it with neutral accessories.

Joseph, July 4. It’s a simpler silhouette, but this dress (also worn in Canada) was classic Kate: nipped at the waist, demure but modern, and complementary of her skin tone and shiny brunette hair.
