How to Make a Good Impression with Fabulous Lips

When I was a young woman waiting tables I received a bit of advice from the daytime, heavily-tipped, glamorous bartender. It was quite obvious by all the two-martini-lunch-businessmen showering her with their daily time and monetary affection that she was someone worth listening to… for beauty advice anyway. And she was beautiful.

Her advice?… “Never leave the house without putting on your lips. It shows you care about your appearance and makes a good impression.” If my memory serves me correctly, the advice came with a tube of lipstick (her not-so-subtle way of telling me to shut up and apply).

She was right. Lipstick is the icing on the cake, so to speak. It can take your look from business meeting to night on the town with a simple change in shade. So, whether attending a party or running to the grocery store, a quick application may be just what you need to perk up your look! Following are a few tips regarding this year’s makeup trends:

Trendy Lips

There are a few lipstick shades that one should consider wearing since it complements the season fairly well. Get ready to party with these trendy lipstick shades!

1. Plum – Wear a gorgeous plum colored lipstick to create a mysteriously sexy look, especially during the transitional seasons.

2. Naturally Pink – You will see pastel colors jumping off the racks everywhere this spring season.  Soft Pinks are such great MLBB (My Lips But Better) shades that are perfect for everyday wear.

3. Darker Reds –  If you are going on a night out, a deep dark red with matching nails will compliment your evening wear perfectly.

These trendy lip colors will surely make you look great. Grab your favorite shade now and you will have them handy when you need to “put on your lips”!
