Bean and Sausage Soup
1 Cup Prechopped Onion
½ (16 ounce) package light smoked turkey sausage, thinly sliced
1 (16 ounce) Can Navy Beans – rinsed and drained
1 (15.8 ounce) Can Great Northern Beans – rinsed and drained
1 Cup Fat-Free, Less-Sodium Chicken Broth
½ Cup Water
¼ Teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- Cook onion and sausage in a large saucepan over medium-high heat for 5 minutes.
- Stir in beans and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
- Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until soup thickens slightly
